Andrea Santangelo

Andrea is a lab technician and workshop manager at Caranx Medical.

He joined with 10 years of experience as mechanical designer and 4 years in the field of medical devices.

After High school, he qualified in CNC manufacturing and then trains at ITS-ICT Foundation for Information and Communication Technologies of Genova in 2014.

After training he started working as designer in Circle Garage: a company evolving in wearables, Internet of Things and Virtual Augmented Reality.

In 2019 he joined the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT), in Genova, as a lab technician of Biomedical Robotics Laboratory (ADVR department), where he continued improving his design skills and know-how on mechatronic systems and robot-assisted devices for surgical applications.
Enthusiastic about technology, graphics and multimedia arts.

His attitudes range from drawing,  photography and graphics, through electronics, audio and sound quality to complete with new technologies and their use.

Constantly looking for training in different fields and for the refinement of the techniques of those known.
