Loïc Wauters, Ing.

Team Leader. System Engineer

Loïc Wauters is a system engineer at Caranx Medical. He obtained his master degree in Electronic and Communication from the university of Nice Sophia-Antipolis, in 2007.

After his degree, he started his career in the medical device industry in Sterlab, with the mission of designing and developing wireless sterilization controllers.

Five years later, he joined Obelia/Axonic, where he participated on several french and european research projects on neurostimulation, with various applications such as obesity, chronic pain, or phantom limb pain. In 2018, he joined the embedded software team of Oticon Medical, and was involved in the development of the sound processor for cochlear implants, as well as the development of the Oticon Medical research platform. Throughout his career, Loïc has played multiple roles in medical device engineering (electronic, embedded software, regulatory affairs, project management) and took part in many stages of medical device life cycles. Loïc joigned Caranx Medical in 2022.
