Davide Recchia, Ing.

Davide joined Caranx Medical in October 2023, bringing a decade of experience in engineering design, including four years in medical devices.

Davide began his career at LA.M.M Srl, a contract manufacturer in Tregnago (Italy). After completing a summer internship, he worked on developing racing steering wheels and interior trim components for leading automakers. He also played a key role in the implementation of a ISO 9001 quality management system.

In 2014, Davide joined Hanson Robotics in Hong Kong, where he focused on the mechanical design of renowned humanoid robots Sophia and Han. In 2019, he took on a new role at MediConcepts, managing projects for clients in the medical device industry. As part of the R&D team, he was responsible for designing and developing new laparoscopic instruments for surgical access, specimen retrieval, and retraction.

Davide’s expertise includes design for manufacturability, materials selection, and intellectual property research. At Caranx Medical, he aims to leverage his experience to advance the company’s product development efforts.
