Jørgen Hansen, MBA

Jorgen Hansen has more than 25 years’ experience from different management positions in large and medium sized corporations and in
startups within medical devices.
He began his career in 1995 with ADAC Laboratories Inc, as manager for the Danish branch. ADAC was a supp lier of medical imaging devices . He
contributed to the growth of the business, which later was acquired by Philips Medical Systems , where he then transitioned into Business Unit
Manager for the Northern European Markert (imaging devices), in the period from 2000 to 2006.
From 2006 to 2009, he joined Byrum Healthcare (medical logistics solutions) as Managing Director, responsible for optimization and growth of the business leading to an acquisition of the company in 2009 .
Since 2010, Jorgen Hansen has been CEO of Mermaid Care, a medical device AI startup. He developed and executed the strategy for Mermaid, including fundraising, R&D, clinical trials and product approvals, ending with an acquisition of Mermaid in 2023. A longside his activities at M ermaid he served as Chairman of Biomed Community (2013 2017) and Life Science Innovation (2017 2019).

The past years’ experience have given him extensive knowledge in bringing new medical technolog ies and innovation sto market in a timely and swift manner .
Jorgen Hansen holds a degree in engineering and mechanical electronics (1990 1995). In 2005, he obtained an MBA in International Management.
